🌈 In Loving Memory of Bella

From our Patreon member Kathy

“My Bella lived a life of joy and love.
She became my soul dog. With her, I had a peace — a soul-clarifying peace — one I haven’t had since her death. Hugging her gave me a deep sense of love. She was my answer to prayers, a living sign that God heard me and loved me.
She trained herself to be my unofficial service dog. She comforted me through night terrors, PTSD episodes, and dissociative funks. She was everything to me. She brought me so much joy. Walking with her in nature was a soul-filling experience — one that words can hardly explain.”

Bella wasn’t just a beloved companion; she was Kathy’s healer, protector, and sign of hope.

May her memory continue to bring light and peace.

Thank you Kathy for sharing Bella's story with us, we are honored to add her to our Remember to Paws Memorial Badge Collection and to be apart of honoring her beautiful memory with you.

🌈 In Loving Memory of Sable

From our Patreon member, Dalaney

"Our story started at a local animal shelter.

I found Sable’s Petfinder profile online and wanted to meet him. When the worker opened Sable’s kennel door, she could hardly get the leash around him. Sable bolted straight over to me. He immediately laid his head into my lap, looking up at me with his beautiful brown eyes. I heard gasps. I looked around and noticed how surprised the staff was. They told me that he would hide in the back of his kennel from anyone who wanted to meet him.

Sable chose me.

I adopted him and he left the shelter on April 3, 2016.

We spent a little over eight beautiful years together full of love and adventures.

Sable taught me a whole new level of patience, understanding and unconditional love during our years together. He truly is my “soul dog”.

I swear there is something so extraordinary special about your owning your first dog.

I will miss him forever. I will always be so grateful we saved each other and that he chose me to be his mom."

Sable wasn’t just a dog—he was a first, unconditional love. He taught love through trust, through presence, through the kind of connection that doesn’t need words to be understood.

Thank you Delany for sharing Sable's story, we are honored to add him to our Remember to Paws  Memorial Badge Collection and to be apart of honoring his beautiful memory.

🌈 In Loving Memory of Bubba Jo

Shared by our Patreon Member, Camille

“Bubba Jo was the baby my husband and I couldn’t have. She helped me through the hardest time of my life—the passing of my husband, Anthony. We cried together, we remembered together, and yes, I talked to her about her daddy. I truly believe she understood who I meant.
She kept me going on the days I felt I couldn’t go on. For a long time, she was my only reason for getting out of bed. People at work used to joke that I worked just to support my Jo. One coworker even gave me a mug that said, ‘I work hard to support my dog.’ They had no idea how true that was. I was determined to give her the very best food and medical care, because she deserved forever.
She gave me 17 and a half years of love. Toward the end, when she could no longer put her front paws on the ground and her body was in pain, I knew it was time to let her go. It was one of the hardest decisions of my life—and one I had to make alone.
But Bubba Jo was my family, my comfort, and my strength. I will love her always.”

Camille, thank you for sharing Bubba Jo’s story with us. The bond you two shared is absolutely extraordinary and hearing your story, you can feel it through your words. What a beautiful life you gave each other.

🌈 In Loving Memory of NobleSpirt

Shared  by our Patreon Member, Joy Richard-Davis

“I’ve had so many dogs in my life over the years — an Old English Sheepdog, two Huskies, three Golden Retrievers, a Boxer mix we lost in May, Gerry’s Beagle, and currently Baylee, our English Bulldog/Lab mix. But my heart and soul dog was my ‘boo boy,’ NobleSpirit — Noble for short.

He was a Golden Retriever I had for over 14 years. I lost him in May 2020. We would go for walks every day, and if he saw something new (that he didn’t think, in his opinion, should be there), he would definitely let everyone know about it. He was always there for me, and I miss him every day.”

Thank you, Joy, for sharing your beautiful boo boy with us. We are honored to include NobleSpirit in our Remember to Paws Memorial Badge Collection and to be a part of honoring his life and the love you shared.

🌈 In Loving Memory of Kai

Shared by our Patreon Member Lisa

“I would love to share my Kai with you all. He was so loving and caring. He always lifted me up when I was down. We had such a rough year. My husband was dying of anaplastic thyroid cancer. Kai always made us both feel better.

After my husband passed, Kai was the light of my life. Six weeks later, at only six years old, he left me to be with his dad. Even the vet said he died of a broken heart. He was healthy. I had just left the house to run an errand. I gave him his Busy Bone, gave him his kiss, and said, ‘Mommy will be right back.’ I came home and he was gone.

I still can’t believe he’s not here.”

Lisa, our hearts ache for you.
We are so deeply sorry for the overwhelming grief you’ve had to carry. The loss of your husband and your sweet Kai so close together is unimaginable.
Please know that we hold space for you in this space, and we are honored to include Kai in our Remember to Paws Memorial Badge Collection and to be a part of honoring his life and the love and the light he brought into your life. His spirit, forever intertwined with yours and his dad’s, will always be remembered with compassion, reverence, and love.
